Can I edit the text of a PDF here?

Not in place. You can add text stamps, signatures, page numbers, headers and watermarks, fill in forms, and redact text — or convert the PDF to Word to rewrite it.

Do the PDF tools work with password-protected files?

Yes. Tools ask for the password of a protected PDF before they start. Unlock PDF removes a password you know, and Protect PDF adds one.

Do they work on scanned PDFs?

Page tools — merge, split, compress, rotate, sign and the rest — work on scans like any PDF. Tools that read text, such as PDF to Word, need a PDF with real text; reading scans (OCR) is coming soon.
