What comes across into Word
The converter reads the text of every page in reading order — two-column pages are read one column at a time, not across — and rebuilds it as real, editable paragraphs rather than one text box per line. Lines broken by the page width are joined back together, words hyphenated across lines are re-joined, larger text becomes Word headings so the document outline still works, and each PDF page starts on a new page.
What doesn't
Images, tables, colours, fonts and the exact position of each element aren't recreated; tables come through as plain lines of text. That makes this the right tool when you want to edit or reuse the wording of a report, letter or contract, and the wrong one for reproducing a designed layout such as a brochure — for that, keep the PDF and edit it with stamps, form filling or signatures instead.
Are my files safe?
Yes. Your files are only used to create your result — they’re never shared and never used to train AI.
Will it look exactly like the PDF?
Text, paragraphs and headings come across; exact positioning, tables and columns are simplified so the document stays easy to edit.
Are images included in the Word file?
No — only the text is converted. To keep the pictures, save them separately with Extract Images from PDF.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Not yet. A scan is a picture of a page with no text layer to read, so the document would be empty — you'll see a note saying so. Reading scans (OCR) is coming soon.
Which apps can open the .docx?
Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, LibreOffice Writer and any other editor that opens Word documents.
