How to redact a PDF

  1. Add your PDFs — up to 10.
  2. Type the words to hide and/or tick emails and phone numbers.
  3. Click Redact, then check the result before sharing it.
Are my files safe?

Yes. Your files are only used to create your result — they’re never shared and never used to train AI.

Is the text really gone, or just covered?

Really gone. Every page with a match is rebuilt as an image with the black boxes drawn in, so the original text can't be copied, searched or recovered. Pages without matches stay unchanged.

What might be missed?

Text that's part of a scanned image (OCR is coming soon), words split across two lines, and spellings you didn't list. Always review the redacted file before sharing.

Why can't I select text on some pages afterwards?

Those are the pages that had matches — turning them into images is what makes the redaction permanent.
