How to flatten a PDF form

What does flattening do?
Each form field's current value is drawn onto the page and the field is removed, so what you see is fixed text that looks the same in every viewer and printer.
Can I undo it?
Not in the flattened copy — the fields are gone. Keep your original if you might need to edit the answers later.
What if my PDF has no form fields?
You'll be told there's nothing to flatten, rather than getting an identical copy back.
