How to crop a video to a square

  1. Add your video — MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 4 GB.
  2. Square 1:1 at 1080 px is set; switch Fit to keep the whole picture with black bars instead of cropping.
  3. Click Resize and download the square MP4.
Which part of the video is kept?

The centre. A landscape video loses equal strips from the left and right; a vertical one from the top and bottom.

Can I keep the whole picture instead of cropping?

Yes — choose “Fit inside (black bars)” and the full frame is placed inside the square with bars around it.
